Carruthers Road Housing Cooperative, Halton Hills, Ontario

Forty family apartments and shared social facilities are arranged in a L-shaped plan to provide an interior courtyard and associated playground. Special effort was made to bring kitchens to the outer walls, providing them light and air, and to provide enlarged circulation spaces for increased sociability among the residents.
